We started off the night with the whole group doing a seance in the Banqueting Hall led by Dave the Medium. Several members of the group felt as though they were being affected in one particular spot, feelings of being smothered, feeling sick, tight chest and swaying.
After that we broke into two smaller teams and my team went into the area called Paul Whitehead's cave. Helen the Medium picked up on the spirit of an anxious lady, several of the group reported themselves as swaying, also feelings of being watched, back pain and heard some movement in the corridor. Initially there was no movement on the glass or ouiji board, but we then moved a little further up the caves towards the entrance and tried again. Again there was no movement until Dave (customer) began asking the questions and then we had some movement. According to the answers given on the ouiji board we had connected to a man named Dave who had worked in the caves and had been crushed in an accident with some metal, he didn't die in the caves but in hospital later from his injuries.He was married with children and died between 1900 - 1905.
Our next session my team went down to the bottom of the caves to the entrance of the Inner Temple. We did have some movement on the ouiji board but Helen and myself felt that we had a mischievious spirit playing on the board so closed that session down. Whilst down in that area several of the team could spell horse manure and also a strong perfume/flowery smell. Helen and I also picked up on a tall, thin man, wearing a dark cloak, with a big nose who was showing a knife, with bad teeth and was leering. Whilst we were talking about him Lisa felt a sharp pain in her back and others got stomach pains. Dave also picked up on possibly the same spirit as us.
The next session my team was back in the Banqueting Hall with Dave the Medium, I left the planchette on the table in the middle of the Hall, whilst we done a silent vigil. Whilst doing the vigil virtually the whole group reported that the flourescent planchette kept disappearing from view but with people close together seeing it disappear and reappear at the same times, but which weren't at the same times as those opposite us in the hall. Dave and Dave (customer) also reported seeing white flashing lights at exactly the same time and in the same place. Sara felt a breath in her face and then Lisa who was standing next to her felt a breath down her neck. A grey shape was also seen near the table in the centre of the hall. Dave picked up on events that had taken place in the hall involving possible illegal abortions being carried out in the caves.
For my last session, again with Dave, we went down to the bottom of the caves, next to the gates to the inner temple. We then done another silent vigil but had the group all stand with their back to the railings at various times. It was interesting to note that the majority of the ladies felt pain in their stomachs whilst the gentlemen in the group felt their chests go tight, felt like they were being pulled backwards through the railings and Ian felt himself swaying from left to right.
We started off the evening by a quick meet and greet outside, then we took a slow walk down the tunnels with only a few torches on to add to the experience.
Then we started the evening off fully with a séance, in the centre of the caves. We did experience some phenomena at this point, was it paranormal, well who knows, but a crew member was removed from the séance as she felt poorly. And it was also caught on video that various people once they were stood in a certain point of the room, was swaying backwards and forwards without even realising.
We then split into smaller groups to see if we could get some spirit activity, but at this stage it all seemed very quiet. See the individual reports from the team leaders.
After this event we returned to the base room for a break and a cup of hot drink to warm us all up. During which point Sam Lowings volunteered to walk in the caves by herself and she managed to get halfway down and back all by herself.
We then once again did some small group work, and at this point, Gary felt extremely sick at one point, and left the group immediately and then soon after felt fine. We then had another break and this time Ann Smith wanted to walk down the caves by herself, and she went all the way down to the bottom all by herself and all the way up again. And as many of the crew agreed she was very brave as most of the crew wouldn’t even want to do it.
Then we gave the customers some free time, so they went down into the caves and having a wander about by themselves. We then all grouped together for a large group session of human pendulum and we had some great information come through at this point.
We also then finished off in some small group activities at which point Maddy came up as she was feeling poorly, and then Lisa also came up and she felt uncomfortable being down there.
My group started at the bottom near the gate to the Inner Temple, Laura felt as if a child was holding on to her leg and Anton felt as if he was touched and pulled back to the gate.
Dave our medium picked up on a man who was an undertaker who had supplied bodies to the infamous HELLFIRE CLUB for their sexual pleasure, he also came up with the name Rawlings and the name st Margarets neither of which featured during the night, he also picked up on sexual abuse down there, a little boy was sensed in the area after people felt cold around knee height. Dave also picked up on the name 'snape', also a growl was heard.
We felt a breeze and it seemed a bit misty down there and everyone smelt horse manure.
GLASS DIVINATION
We had a very slight movement on the glass,Dave then picked up on the name Sir Humphrey and he thought the little boys name was Fredrick who was Scared of everyone after what had happened to him at the hands of the Hellfire club.
Further up the tunnels we had no movement on the glass, and we didnt use the ouija board because the group was reluctant to do so, However Dave picked up on the name cathleen or cathrine and the name Laws or Lawson. We did see flashing lights and a red light which we could not explain, at this point Gary felt very sick and left the group to recover.
Dave conducted a human pendulum in the big cave where we contacted a spirit that came with a member of the group, we then however contacted a member of the Hellfire club who was a plague doctor who took part in abuse and took victims bodies away to study he also carried out abortions and he had no regrets......
Everyone present heard a moan from down the tunnel.
A little boy with the name William or Thomas was picked up by Helen, We did a vigil at the bottom again and could smell poo, some members of the group felt unwell and had aches and pains.
We tried glass divination again but were unsuccessful , further up the tunnel Helen sensed people walking through in chains and another group member was feeling sad, also voices were heard by all throughout the evening.
