Update on the Georgina Wyse Appeal

It gives us great pleasure to let you all know that spooky-nights.com and i-need-graphics.com  have now handed the cheque over to the parents of Georgina Wyse. Gary visited the home of Ian and Maddy, Georgina’s parents and was greeted by a very tired little girl, after her first day at pre-school. She still managed to give Gary lots of smiles, which spoke a 1000 words!

Although we have handed over a cheque, we will still leave the donation button live, so if you haven’t donated and still want to, then please do.

With your help you have raised a massive £375.00, which her parents will take her for a dream day out at Legoland. As you can see from the picture Georgina is delighted with your donations and she has promised to let us have a picture from her special day out.

spooky-nights.com and i-need-graphics.com pulled together for this wonderful little girl and they would like to thank each and every one of you for your donations. We feel that we need to follow Georgina’s progress so we will be following her on her journey. I’m sure we will be doing other things for Georgina as she needs constant care and special seating etc, which we would love to help out with from time to time.

Maddy and Ian, have recently received some news on Georgina, and we have included their words for you to read.

Maddy and Ian:

On Monday 11th we received diagnosis for Georgie. Blood tests have come back positive for a mutation in one of her genes which illustrates that she has Alexander Disease. This is a form of Leukodystrophy, and a particularly nasty one. Alexander Disease has a life expectancy of 10 years from diagnosis. Seizures and breathing problems will become an issue later in life. The good news is, if there is any, that it is not a genetic disorder that passes through our family, therefore the chances of Georgies brothers and sisters having this disease will be very small. Ian and I are going for blood tests ourselves to see if we are carriers.

Whilst diagnosis is extremely scary it has opened many doors for us and the support we are receiving from the community teams are amazing. The support from friends such as yourselves, has been amazing.

Ian and I are extremely grateful for what everyone has done for us and send our thanks to Spooky-nights.com and i-need-graphics.com.

We are going to take Georgie to Legoland on the 30th October so that Georgie can see the end of season fireworks. Photos to follow. Again.... Thank you. xx
